  You all know my little Broken Orange Holland Lop that I am so excited about getting in a few weeks…well, when I got pictures of him some of them had his twin sister as well. And…well…one thing leads to another and I asked the breeder to hold her for me too.
  
  !!!!! That’s 4 bunnies I will have!
  
  Now, here’s what I was wondering. Obviously,the suggestion would be to separate the brother and sister upon arrival (I think they will be around 6 weeks when I get them). Suggested separation for male and female littermates is 2 1/2 – 3 months of age?
  
  Since essentially these 2 are "bonded" to each other, do you think if I separated them at 2 1/2 months, but kept their cages close to each other and then after neutering/spaying reintroduced them, they would still have that bond?

  Too cute – you don’t need to separate them – you can get him neutered at 3 1/2 to 4 months old – his testicles should have dropped by then and he can be neutered right away and she will be ready at 6 months for her spay. It’s not likely that she will be able to get pregnant at such a young age. At least that’s been my experience – maybe others will know differently.

  OH MY GAWD!!!!!!! Not only do you torture us with adorable pics, now you’re getting TWO???!!!! Land sakes man, do you have no self control? LOL ONly kidding. I am very happy for you, they are just simply too adorable and it is hard to say no. Since they are bonded already and you separate them, there is a chance that you may have to start over with bonding, even if you do leave them together and then alter them, they need to be seperate while healing. Hmm, they’ll be six weeks old. You can wait until 3 months to separate them (or just until the testes descend) so they aren’t without each other for quite so long.
