After researching through google, There are some definite things that seem unique to angoras. High protein, which you know about, but just make sure high fiber too! Looks like Wool block is an obviously common problem.
One thing I also found out is those who do spin their bunnies fur do have to offer more calories during shearing since a rabbit burns more calories to adjust to less fur and keep warm.
