  Everybunny in my house was kinda wacky last night. Hareiette is often docile, she’ll hop out and flop for a long period of time. Not last night – she’s was binkying and pirrouteing around the living room. She kept poking us for pets and even hopped up on the couch to visit. Pandora was leaping around and having a grand time playing with her aunt and a straw mat. She’s often aloof, and also came over to poke us a lot and even sat on my feet for a while. Viktor is always hyper, so it’s never dull with him around.
  
  I think it was the banana slice treat, since they rarely get it. 😀
  
  Was anyone else’s bunny really funny last night?

  Hmm, my two were particularly sloungy last night. They are loving the cooler weather!

  Must be the season or something. Last Friday night I woke up at around 3 AM to loud thumping coming from the family room. Curly Sue (who thumps all the time) and DJ (who almost never thumps) were both freaking out, running up and down the levels of their condo, thumping, just going nuts. Deanna was calm though. I finally got up, picked them up and sat with them for a while. It took a good 15 minutes for them to calm down, and when I went back to bed I heard them thump a few more times. They must have heard a raccoon in the yard or something, in the year that we’ve had DJ I have only seen him act that way once before. He’s usually the fearless explorer bunny.

  ooo it’s no fun when they’re all spooked like that! 🙁 poor DJ and Curly Sue… maybe Deanna was telling them ghost stories.

  Bunnies thump for all kinds of reasons. In the wild they use it as a form of communication, as a way of getting the other bunnies in the area to look for a potential danger. Our spoiled companion bunnies will thump if they are scared, mad, lonely ("stop ignoring me!&quot. One of my buns, Curly Sue, thumps when she is feeling guilty about doing something she knows she isn’t supposed to do (*thump* I am going under the couch, *thump* I am going to jump up on the chair).

  My bunnies used to thump when they got scared – then they realized that when they thumped I would come rushing over to comfort them – so now they thump when they want me to come pet them! Also, Juli thumps to dissaprove especially when I am moving things around in her cage.

  I just remembered my bunnies DID do something funny last night…
  
  When I got home I went into my bedroom to say goodnight to Teen and Bean – and I saw a little white foot leap into my closet – and said “hey BEAN get out of my closet!” because Martin is black. THen I saw Bean sitting next to my bed so I was very confused and thought one of the other bunnies had gotten into my room. So I went into my close to find Teen with completely white back feetz. I had no IDEA what happened until I realize dthat my feet were also white once in the closet. I looked closer and realized that the white stuff was teeeny little beans (haha ironic) and then saw Marteen digging furiously in the corner at my AIRPLANE NECK PILLOW! He had ripped a hole in it and in the process of tossing it around had covered him, me, the floor and my clothes in teeny pillow stuffing beans. SO after giving him anout 200 hundred treats to make sure he was eating and hadn’t gotten any pillow beans stuck in his stomach I decided he was OK BUT not allowed anywhere near my closet…

  Oh that’s a great tale MooBunnay! How very cute! Daffodil thumps for a slightly different reason as she is the DIVA bunny, she thumps whenever she is ticked off at you, Bonsai will resort to “The Butt” instead and reserves his thumping as a reaction to Daffodils on occasion or mostly for the more serious predator that he sees outside the sliding glass door. He’s such a momma’s boy!

  Viktor and Pandy are running around like nuts again tonight! Pandy was doing the bunny binky ballet and Viktor’s been running the bunnyapolis 5000. they were just playing chase and now they’re conspiring something since they’re talking in hushed tones. oo boy, i’m in for it now!
  
  Hareiette is getting very annoyed with them, she says she didn’t give them permission to be bunny hooligans tonight!
