Jessica’s new cage just got posted on the cool habitats—YEAH!!!! I just wanted to add a few things about her cage:
1. We used her original dog crate as the base and first level of her cage. We used bolt cutters to cut part of the original celing off and used that piece to build her jumping platform from the ground level to the official 2nd level. Its like a mezzanine level platform. This is why some of the cubes are double overlayed, so we could keep the original cage as the base.
2. We also have her entire cage on an under the bed plastic drawer. We keep bunny supplies in this drawer (litter, pee pee pads, and carefresh). Its one of my favorite parts of her cage, but I couldn’t quite get it in the picture. Its funny b/c I garbage picked the drawer—I thoroughly cleaned it, but it was totally free!
Our apartment is somewhat of a tight fit for us and our pets. Jessica’s cage and both geckos (seperate tanks) are in the livingroom. We also have a big cat bed aka dog bed infront of the radiator. The living room closet houses 2 litterboxes. The cat food bowls are in the kitchen w/ the water fountain in the living room. Things are a little tight at times…but we try very hard to keep things kind of tidy!
