When I brought Dora home she was 7 weeks old. The first time out of her cage to run aroud she never wanted to be held again LOL But that was fie she had free range of our hall way which is about 15 feet long and 3 feet wide.

Well we got  her a new cage with lots of room and a little ledge for her to look around. But since she was moved she loves her cage and doesnt want to come out.  he cage is on a stad I cnt let her walk out. She elt me take er out the other day and I put her in the bathroom she attacked my hbby and took a chunk out of his ankle. She has been gettin very aggresivechargin me and just being very "snobbish" in a way.

I know she needs to be spayed but she is only 4.5 months so I have some time still until vets will touch her. What can I do till then any advice wold eb helpful

Now you know why many bunnies get dumped at puberty!

There’s not much you can do except wait it out till you can get her spayed. Poor thing is a frantic mess of hormones and she is trying to establish a territory – apparently in your bathroom.

She is only a babe …. I had my former bunny Lily spayed at 4 months … how long do you have to wait?

I gather you have to remove her from the cage to clean it out. Can you leave her in the hallway where she had access to whilst you are doing her cage duties. It could be the fact that placing her in another room with tall hubby ‘looming’ over her was a bit overwhelming. Maybe leave her in the hallway as she is familiar with this area.

Can you place the cage on the floor … I know the stand is good because she can see more and its at your height range (no bending over), but I was thinking of Dora being able to jump in/out of the cage herself without being plucked out.

Bunnies are very habitual and some do not tend to like different surrounds as it can upset them. I would leave her in the area which she is familiar with until she is spayed.

            Dawn xx

The cage’s stand is bulit into the cage. It is maybe 2.5 to 3 feet off the ground. I am thiking of some how making a ramp as it has an opening on the side as well on top. She ios smkall enough that I can get her to jump in a box nd bring her out of the cage and she seems fine with this. She doesnt like to be held close she gets frantic poor little girl.

Ya I am thinking the bathroom is smaller area and hubby was in there tryin to pee hahaha so but Oreo our other bunny Iam thinking either the bathroom or my kitchen will be his free run room and give Dora her hallway back

Spaying here they wish for them to be 6 months just to be safe.
