So, all my buns have houses built out of NIC cubes. I only have them two feet high because they never offer to jump. Their houses are so big and they get so much time out that the girls have never cared.

Well…now we have a litte boy who wont be fixed until Tuesday. I had been letting him roam the living room with me there but he started spraying so he has been confined to the bunny bedroom now. I was still letting him out. Well, he wants to get Pookie so bad he cant stand it and he found the weak areas in her cage and pushes and pushes and dents it in.

Yesterday I let him out and I moved stuff so that he could only see Pookie in like a 4inch area. I had stuff pushed up against her house so he couldnt break it.

The little bugger jumped into Carreras cage!!! I never let him out if I am not home because I dont trust him. Carreras house is next to Pookies and since he couldnt figure out how to get into Pookies house he jumped right into Carreras house into her little box. Carrera hid in the corner. He couldnt have been in there for a minute or so when I came in and put him back in his house. I let him out again today and thought I did a better job of covering Carreras roof (her house has no top) and moving stuff around but he did it again. The little brat got on one of Carrera’s shelves and she was hiding in the corner.

SO much for that. I will build him a larger house tonite and I guess he wont be coming out until he is fixed. Those little boy hormones are awful! lol

my bunnies like to nosepoke the cube cage stuff too, i use it to fence them in and they do it like crazy to get out so i tried giving them a little squirt everytime they did it so now they dont do it anymore….. however, Emo is big enough to jump over one story so i need to make it taller. lol

I went and bought more cubes and I made his house a little larger and added a roof. Now lets see if he can get out! lol

Little boys can be so curious! My NEUTERED boy broke into my other neutered BOY’s cage and thats how Raymond got beat up.  Just be careful when you leave them un-attended, I was so scared when I came home and found Kramer in Raymond’s cage, and poor Raymond is still recovering from Kramer fighting him.  I clothes-pinned sheets to the top of Raymond’s cage now, because he was getting depressed staying in my bedroom and not being able to see the other bunnies, but I didn’t want Kramer to be able to get in his cage again!

I added four more square feet to his house so its a big larger AND I put a roof on it. Hopefully he will behave now.

honestly – keeping an intact boy away for a girl can be a feat in of itself! so it’s likely partially the hormones at work. that being said – my Viktor (neutered) is a lil daredevil. He has no fear and is into everything!

I’m glad you were home when it happened and that nobunny got hurt!

I am surprised he didn’t realize he could jump out of his own house. But I had a really heavy tool bag against Pookie’s cage so he couldn’t shove it in and he used that to jump off of. It isn’t very big so i didn’t think he could use it for that.

I am surprised Carrera didn’t tear into him. She is quite fisty and very territorial. He jumped into her litter box and then went and got up on one of her shelves. Carrera went and hid under it in the corner, poor thing.

I have to stay in there and babysit him when he is out. I have also been taking him in the kitchen and playing with him so he is away from the girls.

I would have been sick if it had happened when I wasn’t home.
