my bun, which i got about 9 months ago grew fast. And i thought i was prepared by buying the biggest cage on the market.

        HES STILL TOO BIG

i finally got a dog cage but without a separate bottom, its time consuming to clean and i dont get alot of time.

I have been making time but if i dont have time, it could be another "dreadful bath"what do i do

What room do you have your bun in? Can you make a larger cage? If you look in the Bunny Info area at the top at cool habitats there are some great ideas for making cages so you have the perfect size for you and gives you the ability to make bigger if needed.

I made my buns houses out of "Organize It" also called "NIC cubes". THey can be found at Target, Walmart, etc. It comes with little plastic connectors which you can use but need to be reinforced with zip ties. Our buns are in a bedroom with wood flooring so we went to the Home Depot and bought cheap roll out tile and cut to fit underneath. Easy to clean.

How about a dog exercise pen? They are alot roomier and much easier to clean (just move the pen and vacuum up the stray hay bits):

its on sale. normally they cost about 20 bucks, more online usually but what is best about this one is that u can schedule a pick up at one of their stores near you and then shipping is free because the sale is only for online only. i just got mine yesterday. i bought 4 sets so i can make a pen for them to play in too. =P

Hi! What are you having difficulty cleaning? Is the bunny litter trained? Is the littler box not being used, or the hay being pushed out? My boyfriend has two bunnies and he is a neat FREAK, and what he has is the NIC cubes, with carpet on the bottom, and the bunnies each have  a litter box, and then he just takes the vaccuum and puts on that small attachment, and vaccuums up any stray poops, and picks up any hay that got pushed out of the box, every other day, it only takes him about 5 minutes, and the cages are always very clean. Let us know whats maing the cages so messy, I bet we have tips on it

I’d recommend trying a dog exercise pen, like Poopy suggested or making your own NIC house, like Hedi recommended. Both are going to be much easier to clean up.

Yes I wouldn’t buy another cage–no cage is ever big enough for any animal. Let the rabbit free roam or keep it in a pen.

I have a cage but i keep the door open so my bun can roam free.

I ditto what others are saying.  Pens make great habitats.  Here’s the link to some pictures of alternative habitats for bunnies.  https://binkybunny.com/BUNNYINFO/CoolHabitats/tabid/71/Default.aspx

Cages made for bunnies are always too small, but as long as you have a pen attached to it, a cage can make for a nice hidey home.
