The other day, "jacki", another member here, and I were doing our weekly volunteer work at the our local rabbit rescue. As we opened one of the pens, the bunny made a break for it. (there’s no place for her to really escape to, but she didn’t care). She ran underneath the cages, and we got on all fours to coax her out. I remember looking up, and seeing all the other bunnies looking down at us with full blown curiosity and excitement. Some of them were up on their boxes or wood tunnels to get a better view. I couldn’t help put laugh at how comical it looked from where I was. Little paws up against some of the pens, little noses pressed to get a better sniff, and some faces turned to get a better look. So cute!!!
Anyway, one bunny started thumping, then another, then another. After we got the "escape" bunny back to her pen, the bunnies were still thumping. I tried to go to the cages to comfort one, but then a bunny behind me would thump, then I would go to that pen to comfort, and then another one behind me would thump. It was thump in stereo! We could have brought some music and danced to the bunny beat.
