Its the classroom bunny again….maybe I should now refer to Jessica as the therapy bunny???
Jessica is doing very well! She has become much more comfortable with the kids and they her. She has stopped being territorial. We now put her crate on the floor in the AM and allow her free access to the whole classroom. We leave her door open, in case she needs some private time. Today she actually took a nap near a student’s desk! The kids are ecstatic.
Another of our rooms rec’d a bunny donation today. He is a rex and is fully litter trained. Trigger, though his name will likely soon change, was raised w/ children/toddlers and is very friendly and appears adaptable to the room. His classroom is somewhat cluttered, it is much smaller than ours. I am debating getting him either a larger cage or possible a playpen area for him to roam throughout the day w/o going crazy about the limited classroom space? His cage is fine for nights, but I want to make him more comfortable during his days.
I am also desperate to get the spay/neuter on….cue up the Marvin Gaye…..
Also is it ok if they are cage neighbors, not roommates, at night. I’m not sure how sociable bunnies are, but I know that the turtles and my kitties love their companions. But, my lizards are loners.
Thanks all!
