ben Is not neutered right? I know my bun before he was neutered he let off an AWFUL smell sometimes (but that was only around daisy when they met before his surgery) so maybe something is causing him to release his sent? as for the pellets when my boy came back form surgery the vet said we might see some weird shaped pellets (and we did) just because everything had to get moving normally again. maybe he is having some trouble moving things along- try giving him some of his favorite greens with a little bit of water on them. make sure he doesn’t have any diarrhea and is still eating and drinking.

hopefully he will regulate himself just keep an eye on him! and hopefully someone else will have some advice too!

I think the big poop could be marking-poops. They are big, a bit glossy and can smell like onions. They’re perfectly normal esp since Ben isn’t neutered. Neutered buns can produce them too, but less often and not so strongly smelling. Rabbits also have those scent-glands, you can check so they’re not plugged up (looks like a black hard seed and can be removed with a q-top dipped in water). Un-neutered rabbits really can smell quite unpleasant.

Any veggies, really. Traditionally mint and fennel are used for tummy-trouble, but lettuce is supposed to be good too. Hay and water is best of all, if you can hand feed him hay he might eat more. Fresh grass is good too if you can find some that doesn’t have pesticides on it.
Here’s a how cast video on how to clean a bun’s scent glands:

i agree with bam! we saw (and smelled) lots of those pellets the week we had daisy there before bun was neutered. he was marking like crazy! maybe something has made ben decide he needs to re claim his space! and I’ve always heard the darkest greens are best for a sick tummy because they’re not as starchy so romaine sounds good to me. it sounds like he’s not entirely sick, just something has thrown him off a little bit causing him to need some time to settle back into his routine, stress can affect a buns digestion too so I wouldn’t worry too much about his pellets unless they don’t normalize in a day-ish or unless he develops diarrhea/stops pelleting all together.

Update: i gave him some of that digestive support alfalfa hay ( it has very high fibre) and he is eating it like a champ! I mixed it with the timothy and hes eating.
