How much corn does a rabbit need to eat in order for it to become dangerous? I know rabbits can’t digest corn, and it is absolutely ridiculous that there are corn kernels in rabbit feed, but I want to know.

My bunny likes to eat the kernels out of her feed; she will specifically look for them.

There is no safe amount. It depends on the bunny and the rest of the diet. I honestly recommend you to switch from bunny müesli to a monoforage pellet. Actually. I more than recommend that. I gave my first bunny bunny müesli. He also ate the corn kernels. It messed his tummy up, but that took a while. It took longer for it to get back on track. He loved his müesli like a kid would love to have icecream and candy for every meal.

If the bun eats lots of hay, it will cope better with bunny mësli than a bun that doesn’t eat hay. Hay protects the lining of the gut and helps good bacteria thrive.

Corn can get stuck in the intestine and cause a fatal blockage. Plus it really has nothing that a bunny actually needs to be healthy and well.
