So I recently rescued a Rex rabbit and noticed a few things about Peter. I know that his coat type is different but it seems a little dry. I want his fur to be a little healthier. Also, since it’s shedding season, he’s had pearls and some funky poops from the hair. I brush him thoroughly in the morning and the evening but it’s not very effective. I’ve done some research on the oxbow dietary supplements but they were discontinued, and the dried papaya that pet stores sell have sugar and coloring, any suggestions?

The only thing that worked on my MiniRex was a Furminator. Works great on that dense plushy fur. Use it once a day followed with the wet hands method. (Wet your hands and shake off the excess, run your hands along the length of the body, can also use them under the belly and top of the head. This gets off lots of fur that would otherwise be licked off. I like to keep a little bowl of water and a bowl to dump the fur. To get the fur off your hands, rub them together. Wet and repeat until no more fur is coming off. )
