I have a puppy fence that blocks off half of my living room. There isn’t any way for me to secure it and Lily has discovered she can push it around. I’ve tried using a squirt gun but she actually likes it! If I see her pushing it, I’ll squirt her. She’ll stop, but she start binkying. Lol! Any ideas? I should mention, she is only in the living room supervised so I’m not worried about her doing this when I’m not home.

Can you put some weight behind the gate so she can’t push it?

That said, they’re pretty resourceful when they want to be. At least this would eliminate one way for her to get past the fence.

I have some zip ties so I think I’m going to try to secure each end of the fence. Of course this would also mean I would have to keep it up all the time. I wouldn’t be able to put something heavy behind it because it’s not a small gate, like a baby gate. It’s one of those dog pen ones that you can fold up or put is a circle or a straight line. About 16 ft long.
Lily is someone new to my house (got her in March), but I’ve had a difficult time only because Ziggy was such a good boy. I’ve never had to do much with him as he wasn’t as destructive.
I still can’t get over that she like the water gun. She’s so goofy.

We’ve had pretty good luck with heavy river rocks on top of fleece to keep the front of our xpens from being rearranged. But like Pomandcourt said, they can be pretty resourceful.

If you have something to secure zip ties to, you could put a zip tie on that, a zip tie on the fence, and use a carabiner clasp or dog leash type clasp to hook the two zip ties together and still be able to unclasp to take the fence up and down as needed without having to constantly cut zip ties.
