        Hi everyone,

Just wanted to ask about drinking habits. I have a dwarf lop 5-6 months old, and recently ive noticed that she seems to be drinking more water than usual. She drinks out of a 500ml water bottle, and she is almost emptying it every 1.5 days (not completely as i always refill it when it gets down to about 100ml at the very lowest), but previously I would be emptying and refilling it because I wanted her to have fresh water as she didnt seem to be drinking it quickly enough, rather than because it was low.

There hasnt really been a change in the weather if anything its got colder rather than warmer- so it cant be because she is too hot.

She does seem to be eating more hay recently, as ive found one that she loves and is gobbling much more than usual, so maybe she is just thirstier as she is eating more.

How much do your bunnies drink generally? Is about 500ml over two days too much? Should I be concerned?!

That seems like a fine amount for her to be drinking. The increase in appetite is probably because she is growing, so she is eating and drinking more.
However, you know your bunny best, and if you see an abrupt change like this that concerns you, it’s always best to consult a vet, just to make sure nothing serious is going on.
