I had a huge concern. It’s his teeth he’s 8 weeks old and his front teeth over bite the bottom ones. Is this normal for a young age or no? Please answer back. I’ll try to upload pics.

          That sounds right to me.

Of course with any new rabbit I definitely recommend a trip to the vet for a wellness check.

Yes, it sounds normal to me – the top incisors usually do overlap the bottom incisors.

It is normal for the top to overlap the bottom, as long as the bunny can close its mouth/chew properly.

                  Congrats on the new bun!

The teeth should overlap slightly. When you take him in for his first vet exam, the vet will check out his teeth, and if there’s anything abnormal, he’ll let you know.

I had another question. My rabbit is only eating a little bit of pellets and rabbit treats, like carrots or lettuce, but i only try to give him very little of that . Loves to eat or chew on newspaper from the litter, don’t know if thats okay or not. But drinks plenty of water and eats hay. I’m guessing cause he’s new its normal, is this safe to assume? Loves to chew on cardboard and he’s a netherland dwarf 8 weeks old

8 weeks is a little early for veggies….usually at 12 weeks you can start introducing some dark leafy greens, one at a time… carrots are really sugary (as are most root veggies) so tiny bits as treats. Pics in fairy tales always show bunnies with carrots, but it’s the leafy green part of the carrot that is the best for them.

Newspaper and cardboard and safe to chew and ingest to some point as long as they are printed with soy based inks and not the toxic inks. I would call the newspaper company and ask what ink they use.
