I’ve had my bunny for a while (she’s almost 4) and she’s always been mainly caged except when I took her out for exercise. I finally have a room to give entirely to her where she’ll be safe away from my other pets, and I’ve bunny-proofed it, and I’m hoping she’ll continue to use her cage as a litter box since I took the top off it. She’s always just gone in two corners in her cage. Any tips on making this work? She seems to be getting back in it to go so far, but I don’t want her to pee on the wood floor and ruin it.

          Welcome to BB!

With litter training you want to slowly expand their area as they demonstrate good litter habits. If she has an accident, and she might, you place poo or pee (soaked up with a paper towel) in the litter box to re-enforce good habits. If she favors certain spots you want to place a litter box there. If she’s not spayed then that can help with litter habits (and make her healthier becomes females have such high cancer rates).

It sounds like it’s going pretty well so far.
