When I got Coco his breeder had informed me that he had his eye scratched by a female rabbit he was in a cage with(they didnt know he was a male) so they have me medicine to put on his eye and informed me he’d be blind in that eye. I don’t really know how to handle it nor do I know what I ask. Is there anything I should know about having a partially blind bunny?
I’ve kept applying the medicine they gave me to his eye once or twice a day and it’d not really looking any better its still pussy and you can tell he can’t see because there’s a spot on his eye.

I wouldn’t go just based on the breeder-I would go to a vet and get a dye test done so they can see the nature of the scratch and provide good medication. It’s super important to treat quickly with high quality drops and check back with a dye test every 7-10 days after. There may be some scarring but I really doubt that if you get proper treatment that your rabbit would be blind. Additionally even blind in one eye really won’t hamper him, you just have to watch for trouble like stairs or other traps that could hurt him. I had a blind rabbit who did just fine, he would just move slowly. My rabbit Kahlua just had an ulcer in her eye and really did seem to lose vision in that eye -but it has returned though there is some scarring.
Anyways, you don’t need to prepare for a blind rabbit, but you do need to see a vet, as soon as possible and start a proper course of drops with follow up.

I agree with K&K 100%. Any eye injury needs to be seen by a vet. If treated right away, a lot of eye injuries can heal.

I just want to double ditto what’s been said. Take him to the vet, and bring the meds you’ve been giving him. If they’re not working, you definitely need to follow-up with this. If there is pus, that is an infection so he will need an antibiotic as well as something for the eye itself.

They took him to the vet and the vet gave them medication for is eye which they gave me to use as well. So he’s already been to the vet and I’m assuming what they told me is what the vet told them but if it gets worse and the medicine runs out or doesn’t help I’ll take him to the vet

                  This.

The treatement is not working (per your origininal post) and I would take him to a rabbit savvy vet for testing/further treatment. I would not wait and see when it comes to possible vision loss and infections.

At the very least I would try to get the contact information of the vet he saw when the breeder had him so you can get the information directly and ask questions.
