Mordecai stole a fruit granola bar then hid.  By the time I got him, I have no idea how much of it he ate. How bad is that? It didn’t have any chocolate, but it’s obviously not very good for buns.

In this instance probably no worse than the crappy blended food they sell for buns and piggies. Lots of hay and water and watch for any discomfort or change of habits.

Yes, I agree with Roberta, lots of hay and water and no more sugary treats for the next few days or so and he will probably be fine. He may get a little sticky poop or gas, so watch him.

Bad Mordecai! You need to give him a good talking-to.

(Mordecai is probably the cutest bunny-name I’ve ever heard/read about.)

Was it a chewy or crunchy granola bar? I would think that chewy would be worse than crunchy since those are really sticky. If it is the crunchy, then I doubt he will have much of a problem. Like Roberta said, it would be like him eating junk food. One time isn’t going to kill him.

This is the list of ingredients for home made granola bars, I am guessing the store bought isn’t that different barring some preservatives or vegetable gums.
                Ingredients170 ml sunflower oil
                450 g jumbo oats
                250 g clear honey
                110 g sunflower seeds
                60 g pumpkin seeds
                60 g golden linseeds
                30 g chopped cashew nuts
                Sultanas to taste

No wonder naughty Mordecai made off with it, it’s bunny junk food heaven.

Mordecai sounds like a cheeky little bun! Fancy making off with a granola bar! He was in bunny buffet bliss! How is he doing today?

Thank you everyone. It was a chewy granola bar, but Mordecai is fine. He can be a brat sometimes. A door was left open to one of the rooms he isn’t allowed to go in, so when he grabbed the granola bar, of course he zoomed into that room and hid under the book shelf. Anyway, I’m very glad he didn’t get an upset tummy.

Thank you.  Though I can’t take credit, it was my sister who named him.

I can understand your concern, Peanut stole a piece of Pizza about a month ago and ate the pepperonis off of it. I was checking on home constantly for days LOL

My old bunny Gwydion used to sulk around like a ninja and steal doritos and twizzlers >_<
