I have a playpen for my rabbit to play in outside that she absolutely loves. Yesterday’s she was in it and a crow flew over then circles back and started cawing.  After like five seconds, there were probably a million crows in the nearest tree cawing.  I was really freaked out and I took Bridget and ran back to her hutch.  I asked my mom if a crow could hurt a rabbit and she said she wasn’t sure so I decided to ask on here.  So.  Would a crow hurt a rabbit?

Well, they are omnivores and they are highly intelligent. I’ve never heard of a crow hurting a rabbit but that doesn’t mean they wouldn’t.

As always you need to keep the area predator proof with a cover on the playpen and constant supervision.

Please cover the playpen. Outside my apartment one morning a mother duck left her baby ducklings alone to get some food and a crow took one of them. I don’t think a hungry crow cares which small animal it can take, so I would be very, very careful in this situation.

FYI, a bunny can live quite contentedly indoors for it’s entire life given the room to exercise a few hours daily. A bunny may even feel more safe staying inside, and play and run freely without hearing predators in the vicinity.

They can and will, so make sure she is safe from birds at all times.
