What’s the best way to dry pinecones for bunnies? We have a couple of very productive firs in our yard, and I was able to pick about 40 mature cones from them a few days ago. I was going to use them for decoration, but then I realized what great bunny toys they’d be.

I’ve read that they can be dried by putting them in the oven for a few minutes. Has anyone tried that method? What temperature should the oven be, and how long should I have them in there? I don’t want to accidentally give the bunns anything poisonous. Thanks!

I’ve read bake at 200 for anywhere from 20 minutes to 1 hour. I’d probably split the difference and do it for 40min
