Today I left to leave some documents for my new job at the mall, and I think I was gone with my hubby for maybe 15 minutes. When we leave for a short period of time we leave Sophie in her cage. The thing is yesterday she learned how to open her cage door so today before we left she opened it again so we blocked it with a box (a heavy one!). When we came back Sophie was walking around the apartment so happy and when we checked the cage …it was closed! LOLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW DID SHE OPEN IT, PUSH THE BOX AND THEN CLOSE IT?! that was too much for me and my hubby we couldn’t stop laughing!! I’m still extremely curious as to how she closed it! I mean it’s hard to close ittt lol

so, onto another good thing! I’m so happy cause she used to poop and peepee on the spot where we originally had her cage before when we just adopted her, and she never used her litterbox only to lounge So today I put her litterbox on that spot and she does her stuff there now! She eats her hay and does her stuff! She poops and lounges and lounges and poops! She loves it!

the litter box solution is excellent. That’s the way to solve problems with them – just let them tell you what they want.

As for the mystery cage opening – they’re amazing sometimes. Closing the door is a new one.

I just bought a small dog leash clamp, the thing that has a clip on both ends, one for the leash and one for the collar. They work well to hook the door closed to another bar of the cage. The bunny can’t open it since they don’t have opposable thumbs (yet).

lol… i had to let baby bun tell me where she wanted her litter boxes. she had a couple of spots she insisted on using for litter.

too funny about the escape! is there another way she could have gotten out without using the door blocked by the heavy box? does the cage lift off a pan on the bottom maybe? friends of mine couldn’t figure out how their dog kept escaping from his kennel… they even had the thing padlocked lol… until they realized that he was using the door on the other end. it wasn’t obvious since this door was pushed up against a wall and to use it the dog had to squish his body through while pushing the whole cage away from the wall. good luck figuring out how your little houdini escaped!!!

If you ever find out how she escaped I’d love to know. Rascally rabbit.

                wow thats one amazing rabbit.

Our dog Spar a boxer with a tongue oh and what a tongue.  We would leave  and put he in her crate cuz she was too young to leave loose in the house while we went somewhere.

We would come home and she would be out.  Happened several times.  One day I crated her and hid in the hall.  I would sneak a peak in the room to see how she got out.

That tongue.  She would take that ingenuis tongue of hers push the latch up then push it to the left all this with her tongue. Amazing.  funny too
