There are no bunnies on the list- but it is interesting to read the stories and see some of the trouble the dogs (and one cat) got into!

15 pacifiers removed from a dogs stomach- and a corn dog stick swallowed whole!  I am glad my dogs have not done anything that crazy.

Some of those stories made my stomach hurt. Glad I don’t have a dog after reading these LOL.

We were at dinner with some people a few months ago and mentioned Dakota’s annoying habit of eating kleenex, so one of the guys mentioned that his dog has eaten something like 18 or 28 socks in total and had to go for surgery for it twice. I’m sorry but if my dog ate a sock ONCE then I’d be making sure she couldn’t get at any more.

Ha! Waht is it about dogs and Kleenex? My sisters dog goes mad for them. He can sniff them out in your pockets and won’t get off you til he gets it.

It is amazing what pets can swallow whole!  I have seen a Dalmatian that swallowed an oven mitt- whole.  A dog that swallowed its choke chain whole (twice).  And a cat that swallowed 8 whole q-tips.  And dogs swallow underwear all the time.  Weird.

I don’t get how they manage to choke those things down.  Gah!

Man… maybe I can understand them accidentally swallowing one thing… but doing it more than once is just crazy! I don’t get how they can enjoy swallowing like a whole bag of pacifiers! Are dogs not as susceptible to choking or gagging or something? o_O

Katnip, a dog swallowed its choke chain, twice? I am at a loss for words. What happened to this dog?

The dog had to have surgery.  The owners moved about 6 months later and we got a call from another vet requesting records because the dog swallowed it again and needed surgery again!

our friend’s dog-he’s quite small swallowed a whole sock. They didn’t know until he was sick and the xray indicated a blockage. In surgery they found the entire sock!! We’re very lucky Mikey chews his food (kleenex, underwear, toys) before swallowing. We’re also as obsessive with his examingin his poops as we are with bunnie poops.

Thanks for sharing the link! Very interesting…

My husky use to eat socks whole all the time. Hey, if it is on the floor . . . He would just throw them up later. Lovely!
