Posted By bunnymom15 on 3/30/2015 10:43 AM I think Sage gets allergies around this time of year (spring/summer) is there a allergy pill or something I can change to help him?
Usually an irritant more than an allergy. Give this a look:http://www.smallanimalchannel.com/rabbits/rabbit-health/do-rabbits-have-allergies.aspx
Posted By Cassie on 3/30/2015 5:18 PM Hello my bunny Hash Brown is going through some tough times now. I took him to his first vet visit (he was about 4 or 5 months old) on February 10 2015 and his doctor noticed a scab of his upper right eye. It was a small scab and told me everything would be fine and if it did not heal after 2 weeks to bring…
Posted By Debby on 2/07/2015 3:24 PM My bunny is about 2 years old, I got him a few months ago. He used to live alone in a hutch. He’s a cryptorchid, if this all may be info you might want to know. I litter trained him (he isn’t neutered but doesn’t act like a non-neutered bunny at all!) and he lives in a cage inside now, (living world xl) but…
Wow, I really jumped to conclusions there. My sincerest apologies tedster, I wasn’t having the best day and I think I let that show and made a very poor, uninformed judgment on you. You are truly a miracle for doing what you did for Teddy and I should not have assumed any less of you. I will be sure to read this again later and see if I can offer…[Read more]
And I’d just like to add, that a lot of behavioral issues can be fixed simply by spending more time with your bun and eliminating boredom. When you develop a strong bond as their caregiver, they respect your ways and will trust you much more.

My rabbit, Teddy is almost 7 months old (about 1 more week to go) and I got him neutered last week and he seems to be recovering really fast and back to great health. It stopped his honking and him from circling everyone’s feet and the best news, he stopped dropping poop everywhere.…

Since she’s so young, alfa alfa hay is what she needs till 6-7 months of age. Alfa alfa hay, oat hay, their seed heads, increased amount of pellets.
This right here is the answer. Alfalfa is always the answer. My girls will eat anything alfalfa all day, nonstop. It’s insanity when there’s alfalfa involved.
Hi all. Went okay. They were all raving lunatics of course. Very difficult. The vet was very nice, had rabbits of her own and was extremely knowledgable. Only thing I did not like was that they used some scruff to move them. However, I really didn’t see any other way. They were supported properly, but they weren’t being cooperative at all so I was…[Read more]
Posted By DezA on 12/25/2014 11:02 PM My gramma accidentally dropped a laptop on my dwarf lop. He seems ok. (Active and eating) hoping he will be ok!
Rabbits are very good at hiding pain/injury, so if your concerned then it’s worth a checkup at your vet. Only you know your rabbit and only you know how hard/far she dropped it or how heavy…[Read more]

So yesterday I went shopping ya know for Christmas! I was planning on getting hay for Theo but of course I was half an hour late! So I used up the last of his hay last night and we do not have any pet stores open on Christmas and tomorrow I probably will not be able to get him hay till 3 because…
Posted By khrisangel on 12/24/2014 1:33 PM I discovered a bump this morning on Lola’s neck. Her demeaner is fine and she plays, eats and poops as normal but no vet is open until Monday!!!! Thats 6 days! What do I do!?
If it is in abscess, she should be seen immediately by a vet. You say none are open around you, I’m assuming for the…[Read more]

New bunny owner. I had been looking, and reading, I even borrowed my son’s girlfriends bunny for a week… all to see if a bunny would fit with our house, and vice versa. I have 2 younger children, a teenager, and my husband and I both work full time. After about 3 days with Harry I was hooked. Dear…

I am an employee of the Anne Arundel SPCA in Maryland who has been fostering 6 dutch bunnies and their mother. My darlings are wonderful and adorable and have been handled by me since their birth. They were born on July 9 and are about 5 months old now. The age of their mother is unknown.

I have tried various brushes, soft and brittle, tried combs but my bun hated them all. Just ran off everytime I tried to use them. If I use my hand she’s okay but doesn’t stay laying down too long. My hands don’t pick up much fur.
Today I bought a plastic finger ring from pets at home and…

So you are asking if you can keep the cage, BUT she would never be locked in it? I would think this is fine. If she had to be locked in it, I would get a proper cage.
I’m not sure about the second question. Maybe it’s just coincidence
Agree here. My girls have a good amount of cage time, so they…[Read more]

Yup, found that out with the girls. Doctor like banana, but really, he wanted apple. He LOVES apple and we hadn’t been sharing with him post icky tooth removal, too hard it seemed since he didn’t want carrot or a lot of pellets either. So the girls took naps instead, it was only apple after all, and…
