I wouldn’t call it a flop if they are just laying down stretched out. Having said that, if they are doing that regularly then they must be comfortable so I wouldn’t worry. My female doesn’t flop very often compared to my Peanut who is a serial flopper.
They are probably being territoral because they aren’t the only bun. Especially if you’re switching them around. Is this for pre bonding? Territorial poops are likely to continue til they are bonded.
Posted By Kiki on 3/01/2019 1:08 PM Good Girls, and Russian Doll both on Netflix. I need to get back to the Haunting of Hill House.
I enjoyed Good Girls. Is Russian Doll any good? I thought it looked pretty interesting from the trailer.
Well it’s not ideal no. Why would they want to put the bunnies in a room where noone can really socialise with them? What is the point? I guess you’ll just have to make the effort to be in the room with them.
I’m confused – 5ft x 5ft is certainly larger than pet shop cages yes but I couldn’t imagine having 2 bunnies in that space and still expect it to be adequately sized :-/ I mean, I’m 5ft tall so I’m imagining me laying on the floor (?) lengthways and widthways and honestly the space looks pretty small (in my head) especially when you consider that…[Read more]
Personally, yes I consider it abuse. It may not be the same as starving your rabbits or causing them pain, but keeping them caged is neglect and neglect = abuse. A 5ft x 5ft pen doesn’t sound particularly large tbh altho of course it is better than standard pet shop cages. There definitely are bunnies out there that are not interested…[Read more]
Bonding is the name of the process of introducing bunnies who are to live together. Bunnies are not an animal that can just ‘hang out’ or have play dates with one another. They either live together or they essentially have nothing to do with each other. It’s kind of all or nothing with bunnies haha. The bonding process is very involved – all…[Read more]
They don’t care about being dominant because they’re still babies. They should be separated in a few weeks because when they get hormonal they might fight. You should get them both spayed when they are of suitable age and then start bonding
I’m sorry but are you saying that you are keeping your rabbit in the garage of a house that you’re no longer living in??? Honestly I can’t imagine how lonely your rabbit must be. I cannot understand how your parents can think this is acceptable. Getting a pet and shoving him in a garage is weird anyway but a garage at a house you don’t…[Read more]
Something like romaine or green leaf lettuce is a good one to start with. Don’t start giving a cup full though – give a small piece (1 inch x 1 inch) and then increase each day if there are no problems. After a week or two of that, you can try adding something else such as coriander (cilantro).
Long nails can be dangerous, not only due to potential sore hocks but also they can get caught on flooring and a bun can cut themselves when they scratch and groom themselves. Having said that, I’d probably wait for the vet appt in 6 days. Just keep an eye out. I don’t cut my bunny’s claws – I get them done by a vet nurse every few months.
