That’s a good sign! He’s showing you affection.

  • AS long as the rabbits can stand on their feet and not touch the ceiling, flop out in any direction, and walk around, then the doghouse is good. Maybe you could build a sort of covered run leading out of the doghouse so they could run around.

  • If they’re untreated and natural, then it’s fine for a rabbit. My furries could care less about plain wood though. They prefer scented chews like snak shak logs, sometimes willow sticks, grass tunnels, etc.

My rabbits don’t mind music, but if they here any sort of solo instrument or loud sound, they are terrified.

Hello and welcome! Remember to spay and neuter your rabbits and have fun!

  • I would definitely reccomend neutering all pets, but it’s your choice He might not be showing any signs know, but he could later on. By bonding him to another rabbit, do you mean getting him a friend? If so, then I think you should get him neutered. I find that males and females usually get along nicely, and you have to have him neutered so you…[Read more]

  • Haha my rabbits are proud when they do something bad!

Lol I never thought you could teach a rabbit tricks, but that sounds cool! Rabbits aren’t really like dogs, and probably the only way you could teach them a trick is with a treat, and if she’s treat aggressive there’s nothing you really can do. I just let my rabbits eat in peace.

You should trim a rabbits nails every 2-4 weeks. I wouldn’t worry, but is it possible for you to post a picture?

  • I don’t really know if it’s okay to use. I would trust the HOuse Rabbit Society, but hopefully another member could help you with that. I would switch to woodpellets or just hay for litter. You can buy it in huge amounts for cheap at feed stores. My rabbit’s enjoyed eating the carefresh which was a problem and the bag only lasted a little.…[Read more]

  • There are lots of feed stores in L.A. I know of the Malibu Feed Bin, Stephens Hay and Grain, and a few others. It depends where in L.A you live. You can buy bales of timothy hay that’ll last 6 months-a year for only $15-$30. You can also buy straw/shavings, bedding, food, and other supplies in bulk for cheap. The wood pellets, straw, and hay is…[Read more]

  • It should be big enough for them to hop across at least 3 times, flop out any direction they wish, and stand on their hind feet without touching the ceiling. Make sure to house your rabbits inside. I really like x-pens. My rabbits currently live in a hutch(indoors) with an x-pen attached. All of their food, water, and litterboxes are in the…[Read more]

You must brush them. When they groom themselves, they are ingesting fur, and a lot of the fur will cause a hairball. Rabbits can’t throw them up like cats, so it becomes fatal and the rabbit can even die. You don’t want to overbrush them, as that will make them want to clean themselves more. I brush my rabbits a few times a week, every day when…[Read more]

  • Don’t feel bad or be mad at your husband because he isn’t from a shelter. He’s the runt, so you sort of are saving him (in a way) as no one would probably buy him. You also “rescued” him from the pet store. Definitely not all , but most petstores I find mistreat the animals there. Anyone reading this thinking about getting a rabbit, go to the…[Read more]

  • I wouldn’t really be worried about about Jude and Lei being together. My local rabbit rescue actually reccomends and doesn’t disaprove having cats and rabbits live together, as they are sort of similar. I didn’t read the part where you said you would wait until you had your own house. I would never reccomend getting a dog though, unless your…[Read more]

  • Update: My dad and I built the hutch over the weekend. Man, it was a pain. The instructions were pretty confusing, and we sort of had to put the second floor in our own way. They’ve chewed the ramp a little, but not much. I’m working on making a pathway from the hutch, leading outdoors (there hutch is in a room with a big glass sliding door),…[Read more]

  • Hello! I just looked at the condo you’re interested in. It looks good size-wise, but it seems pretty expensive compared to other cages ($300, right). I just bought my 2 rabbits a pawhut two story hutch for like $120, but if you like the condo, it looks nice to me. Whoah! You haven’t even bonded Jude and Leia, and you’re already…[Read more]

  • Yeah, it’s fine, as long as your rabbits don’t eat it. Bedding in the litterbox, or bedding around the cage? Make sure you get your rabbits fixed, and litter box train them. Sometimes, rabbits will confuse soft bedding with litter, so they may start urinating all around their habitat. I’ve never used shredded paper, but I’ve used…[Read more]

Rabbits need to eat at least their body size in hay each day. Some rabbits don’t like a certain type of hay, it seems timothy in your type.

Try mixing as many types of hay as you can together, and see if she likes it. You can even had dried herbs and flowers for her to forage for.

Rabbits will chew on anything and everything, which is not…[Read more]

It wouldn’t necessarily kill them, but I certainly don’t think it’s good. You should always replace soiled hay with fresh clean hay. Maybe you could provide a second box full of hay for her to just eat.
