    Doxycycline is on Medirabbit’s safe antibiotics-list.
    The dosages Medirabbit gives are:
    Doxycycline
    .
    2.5 mg/kg bid (twice per 24 hours) Per Oral route (by mouth)

    or

    4 mg/kg sid (once per 24 hours) also per oral route (by mouth)

    It’s a broad-spectrum antibiotics meaning it will kill a wide variety of bacteria.

    Bordetella bronchiseptica is one of the most common “rabbit-cold”-bacteria. It’s more common in Guinea pigs. It’s sensitive to Baytril, so I’m guessing the other type of bacteria isn’t, hence the Doxy.
