I love hearing about rescues! Whether it’s a shelter or outside. They are just such sweet animals, I don’t know how someone could not fall in love.
My story with Ziggy is pretty boring. Missed having a pet. After some research, settled on a rabbit. Found Ziggy online. His price was reduced because no buyers. I brought him home and his grumpy attitude stole my heart. Once in a blue moon he’ll come to me for head rubs and it melts my heart. He’s a good sport though about me picking him up and showering him with kisses. He just gets an annoyed look on his face. lol!
Lily was a whole big drama. Bought her off the same site. Breeder told me she was fixed. 2 days later I fell ill and needed to stay in the hospital. Since I hadn’t even started the bonding, I asked my mum to take her till I was better. That’s when she had a surprise litter! (so she was pregnant when he sold her to me). The litter of 3 died. We got her spayed and after she was healed I brought her back to my place. Her & Ziggy were an instant bond. He loves her so much.
And I totally adore her!! She’s cuddly, mischievous, and just all around nosey. And there’s not a shy bone in her body. Anyone that comes over needs to be inspected for food. A girl after my own heart. lol!!
