OUR FORUM IS UP BUT WE ARE STILL IN THE MIDDLE OF UPDATING AND FIXING THINGS.  SOME THINGS WILL LOOK WEIRD AND/OR NOT BE CORRECT. YOUR PATIENCE IS APPRECIATED.  We are not fully ready to answer questions in a timely manner as we are not officially open, but we will do our best.

I think your bunny had gas. When they shift around and can’t get comfortable, and might press their stomach to the floor, that’s a classic sign of gas.

Massaging their stomach can definitely be helpful if they have gas. Here is a video showing good techniques –

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LbyC6CWbm5M&t=10s. Getting the rabbit to move around can also help him to expel gas. Infant simethicone drops can work amazingly well. You give the rabbit 1 ml every hour for 3 hours. If you haven’t seen improvement after 3 hours, it likely means the problem is more than just gas and may be GI stasis. You can buy the drops at grocery stores, drug stores, or discount stores. It’s something very good to have on hand.

If Gus is now eating, pooping and acting normally, I don’t think a vet visit is necessary.
