Are you absolutely sure that they are both male? People have been told that their bunnies are the same gender, then they are surprised with a litter a couple of months later. Even vets sometimes have trouble sexing rabbits. If they are starting to hump, that means the hormones are coming on and that can mean the possibility of fighting and injury. Could they be older than 8 weeks old? That seems a little early for the humping to start, but I haven’t had baby bunnies in a long time. In any case, since they have started humping, it probably is best to separate them. Keep their cages/pens near each other, then after they are neutered, and recuperated for a few weeks, you can start the bonding process.
