BunyLiz you are right! No nuts for rabbits. They are high in starch and can cause an impaction in the stomach, do you have any fruit trees in your yard instead? Apple trees are great things, bunnies can chomp on branches, foliage and have a slice of apple too. 
Be careful with any fruit tree that has a pit – the wood can be toxic.
