I’m quite late to the thread but figured I would chime in for current/future readers: I also feed Orchard Grass, and I felt like the past year or so I was getting a lot of brown hay, a lot of dust and a lot of some other pieces I didn’t recognize in the Small Pet Select boxes. Could very well have been a mix of Alfalfa and/or Timothy in there but I’m not 100% certain– the rabbits would totally the unfamiliar pieces.

In combination with the darker poos I was seeing from the rabbits, I ended up switching to Oxbow 50/50 Orchard Grass & Timothy and I think that’s working better for us (the SPS Timothy I am unfortunately very allergic to). It’s also easier for me to get, since SPS would regularly get delayed in shipping and I would have to grab Oxbow from our local pet stores as a backup. This could very well have been an issue local to my area, though.
