He went to vet yesterday because he stopped eating overnight; no stasis. They just said he probably just doesn’t feel well, like a really bad whole head sinus infection. He is actually fairly active, even when he stopped eating; he probably exercises as much as pre-crisis.

Because it’s a breathing issue, I was told not to force feed. I do leave CC mixed with baby food out as well as mushed pellets. He has stopped finishing it all. When he does eat, he eats herbs and he does eat some hay, but much decreased from normal. Right now, he’s chowing down on lots of herbs. When he does eat, I give him 2x the amount of herbs that I’d normally give, but it just doesn’t have enough nutrients so he’s lost a lot of weight since this crisis started. Should I do unlimited herbs?

He won’t eat cookies any more but he’s always been a super good boy in making sure he eats enough hay and veggies instead of eating junk food so it’s not too surprising.

I emailed the vet to see if they can prescribe the EmerAid intensive care; not sure if it’s right for him but I’m hoping it’s more liquid? I’m trying to find recovery food that’s more liquid that I can put into a small syringe and gently  squirt a tiny bit at the front teeth for him to lick off. CC is too clumpy to do that. I tried to wrap some CC in a mint leaf but as he ate it, the CC just fell out the other side :).
