Hello, some of you may be tired of me posting but since I recently rescued these guys I have a lot of questions.
I noticed that my rescued bunns would “purr” with no food in their mouth. it almost sounds as if they are eating timothy hay but they don’t have any food in their mouth. I don’t think it’s teeth grinding because the sound is spaced out…[Read more]

I have two rabbits, and they go outside most days, unless it’s raining, but their indoor cages provide space to run a bit. Anyway, my female rabbit had floppy bunny syndrome a few weeks back and recovered very quickly. Today I went in to see them when I got up and my female had died overnight. My other is a male and they are both desexed and get…[Read more]

I know it has been FOREVER since I have needed to come and make a post. But alas, it is no longer smooth sailing in my bunny world so need some support. Sophie broke her leg. Just just broke it but she completely mutilated it. Bones were protruding. I took her to the vet. They are recommending amputation of her entire leg. But I’m not sure I can…[Read more]

Has anyone ever fly their bunnies internationally on a flight? How was the process for the bunnies?
I may be moving back from United States to Hong Kong, and want to bring my baby with me. The flight is around 15 hours, so I want to make sure it is safe for her to fly with me.
    Any opinion helps! Thank you.

I guess I live a sheltered life because I never saw this before but Fry’s has it. It’s on the HRS list as approved. Real funny looking – like Lex Luthor without any face! A round white ball all wrapped up. I assume when unwrapped it has leaves ?????? Has anyone fed their bunnies this and what kind of success did they have?

Related to the thread of how to keep hay from getting everywhere – I see a few members like the dyson hand held. So my question is – which vacuum/broom do you use?

I used to use my regular house vacuum cleaner, a 12-amp bissel. It worked really well, had enough suction, the pipe was wide enough, and it didn’t get clogged. But because I have a…[Read more]

I fed my buns (holland lops) some of Oxbows barley biscuits – they loved them! And went nuts over them. I am only concerned a tad about the ingredients contained in them… any opinions? I was only feeding one biscuit per day.

This is my first post on here, but I’ve been following these forums for a couple months now. My situation with my bunny has gotten to the point where I decided to make an account and post because I’m so stressed out with my bunny’s behavioral problems and need help. So I adopted an 8 month old French lop from my local SPCA back in December (named…[Read more]

Lately I’ve noticed Moby does this thing, I’m not sure if it’s new. When I come near him when he’s laying down, or to touch him or pick him up, (if he is laying down he gets up) he will sometimes put his head down and start licking himself or the floor (or whatever is underneath of him) and he does this when the cats come close to him too. What…[Read more]

Hi all.  Had the thought of getting a bonsai tree (juniper maybe?) and giving pruned branches to the bunnies as chew toys. Since the tree will be indoors there will be no pesticides or treatment or anything of the sort.. Is there any health reason anyone can think of that this would be a bad idea?
