Grooming is actually a very good sign, and she seems to be behaving normally. I would monitor her for a little longer and make sure these kinds of incidents are prevented in the future.

Small update since my post was approved: Moni is still doing well, eating hay, hopping around as usual.. she is still grooming herself though (her feet, mainly)

I just stick hay in his two litter boxes. Easier to deal with for me and he is happy to flop and eat at the same time. He doesn’t seem to eat anything soiled and tends to stick to the back corners for that part of the business anyway. There is probably some gas moving through if you’re able to hear. Similar to humans, it may just work itself out. If you see signs of gas discomfort that isn’t resolving itself, then you can intervene with some infant gas drops, tummy rubs, etc.. Oh he’s so cute, love his fur coloration! Reminds me a bit of a calico cat (I know nothing about coat patterns in buns!)

I don’t hear anything until I have my ear up against Dorian, but I swear I smell little bunny farts on more than one occasion. If he doesn’t seem in discomfort I think some bubbles are part of the process, probably just things digesting… but maybe keep an eye out to make sure he doesn’t seem to be in any discomfort?

Oh yes they do that too when they’re in the opposite mood but it never works haha! We’re not that bonded yet.

It might be helpful to see what water level/bowl height works best to prevent that. Depending on your rabbit’s nose size/snout length, that’ll vary. Both my netherland dwarf and american sable use the same bowl. My dwarf always gets so wet while my american sable uses it very neatly. Can you provide a picture of the bowl versus his size?
