I have the same problem, I can’t remember all the white and partially white bunnies anymore. Oscar counts though I guess! 😆
Az: Good to hear your bunnies and kitties are doing well. It’s about time for a new kitten don’t you think? 😉 I forgot about Dory, glad she’s good too. Does she talk at all?

Thank you! I’m trying and like Louie said I know no one wants touched all the time (although I would welcome her sitting on my lap constantly lol). She relaxed in front of the couch twice and my heart just about burst lol but hasn’t done it since the spay. She seems to have calmed down since the procedure too. The woman from the rescue said it may…[Read more]

I don’t have any pictures but a google image search is usually a great place to find ideas. You will probably even find some ideas in the Rabbit Info tab at the top of the page and click on “House Rabbit Habitats”.
In my cube cage I’ve used a small wooden beam to support a shelf, and plywood for the shelf itself. I stuck linoleum on the plywood…[Read more]

How cute is that! 😀 Mine actually tolerate being clipped quite well, but Apollo will always pout afterwards. Though to be honest I’m not sure if it’s the clipping that he’s protesting, or the being carried back to the pen. The moment I set him down he runs off while flicking his feet at me. It’s a very rude telling off, lol.

I have one called Bunny Basics, but I warn you that I haven’t posted a new video in a couple years I think. But there’s still cute bunnies, lol.
101rabbits is probably my favourite bunny channel, she’s super knowledgeable.

I’m glad I’m not the only one! My last rabbit wouldn’t come out of his cage for about a month then all fo a sudden he started following me around and always wanted his head rubbed lol so I guess I forget how long it takes. Glad to know this seems like a normal time frame.

Azerane replied to the topic Unusual Rabbit breeds in the forum THE LOUNGE 6 years, 2 months ago
Belgian Hares are my favourite rabbit breed, followed very closely by the Tan. Unfortunately we don’t have Belgian Hares in Australia and Tans are pretty rare so I’ve only seen a tan once or twice at shows and don’t recall ever having seen a Belgian Hare when I’ve been overseas.
I suspect that both Belgians and Tans, being very active breeds that…[Read more]

White rabbit, white rabbit, white rabbit.
Sorry I cheated and didn’t name white rabbits. I’m too out of touch with everybody’s bunnies!
Apollo and Luna celebrated their 4th gotcha day on July 30th. Initially I accidentally celebrated it a month early, and then forgot until today! As luck would have it I actually bought them new fleece for their…[Read more]

Sugar high indeed — What an afternoon this ultimately became. He seems fine now, albeit unhappy that the jar of sinful delights (which he somehow managed to unscrew the lid and, I’m assuming, throw across the room) is no longer anywhere to be found.Â
To clarify, this was a substantial volume of raisins that this little guy took down. We’re…[Read more]

She is not molting, but it is very hot where I am. I keep the house very cool though, but perhaps she did get hotter today? There’s also been no change to her diet. I have been giving tummy rubs periodically throughout the evening/night and it does feel normal, no hardness or protruding. I have tried giving her the baby gas drops in the past and s…[Read more]

I am not able to check her temperature, but her airs do feel on the cool side. I’ve honestly never checked them before though so I’m not sure what’s normal?

Also the tumors are always in the same region. Those move quite a bit but are in the same area. It’s so helpless here.

Thankyou so much. I wholeheartedly what to trust this as this is putting my heart at ease.
Happy is very active and healthy, is eating, binkying and is very happy.
Yes I do feel the peristalsis movement but this was different. The tumor like things are always moving and are very slippery. Happy has no pain or no reaction when I touch those. I…[Read more]

Two other questions:
Are you able to take her temperature? And how do her ears feel, warm or cold?
A low body temp can indicate a rabbit in a low of pain and in danger of going into shock.

It could be a number of things, but definitely cause to pay attention. The lethargy is worrisome. It sounds like she is in some sort of pain. It could be gas, onset of stasis, or something else. The pooping and cecals are good because it means she isn’t blocked. Is she molting by chance? Have there been any chances to her diet? Is it very hot…[Read more]

Definitely monitor her, if she is eating and pooping regularly, it may not be a huge concern, but if she is acting differently than normal I would definitely keep an eye out.

Our vet recommends two weeks, but double check with your vet, as some vets might be fine with a shorter period (and it may depend on the specific way the vet does the procedure). The main thing is preventing them from jumping up onto things!
