@DanaNM It is heart-breaking what people seem to think is ‘okay’ living conditions. 😥 There are so many poor buns out there who my heart just breaks for. It is truly beautiful what your shelter is doing for these poor buns. I am so grateful there are people like you, and all of the binky bunny members out there to help these poor, poor…[Read more]

Thank you so much! I might try to make the mat with cardboard strips too. I’d be concerned about the ink in the newspaper.

I love English lops but I think the ears may get infections and other health problems. if you want to find out what breed/breeds Dorian is maybe a bunny DNA test will help there’s more about that on binky bunny information

I got sent a picture…. it was awful. I think they worst thing about it was that if the person thought it was OK to transport them that way, what type of conditions must they have had them living in? Poor babies. 🙁 They are now in RHDV quarantine so I won’t get to see them for a couple weeks but will update on them once they come out.

    Most of…[Read more]

Yes it’s safe! Been giving my buns tp and paper towel tubes for years. 🙂 I like to stuff them with hay. Those look like very cute toys!

It’s not exactly DIY but some of my bunnies have really liked chewing cardboard cat scratchers and shredding phone books. As long as you remove the glossy printed parts they are safe to use. You can also make a…[Read more]

Hi! I’m getting my bunnies in a couple weeks from an animal shelter and can take them home a day after their neuters. I made some toys after I made their hidey houses and wanted to know if they’re safe! I heard you can give them tp tubes and paper towel tubes, but I’m not sure if that’s okay because of the glue that’s used on them. Anyone kn…[Read more]

It’s very normal for a rabbit’s “baby fur” to grow out and be replaced by adult fur. Most kits have lighter, fluffier coats, which are replaced with sometimes darker, smoother, and more colored fur. Some rabbits change fur colors during seasonal molts, so there is a chance his fur might still return to his more blond color, but it also may never…[Read more]

Thank you! I just want to make sure my bunnies are safe and I don’t want to do anything that could harm them. I’m picking them up from the animal rescue in a few weeks and it’s my first time taking care of rabbits. 🙂 I’m so excited.

I have a male Holland lop who is now around ten weeks old. I adopted him when he was seven weeks old. He used to be a lovely dirty blond color but now he is changing SO MUCH. He got much darker, his ears turned gray and I miss his old color. Will he ever return? I miss how he used to look.

I would think it’s OK if you peel off the portion that has ink. Similar to ink on a piece of paper, the ink is only printed on the surface layer, so as long as that’s gone, it should be fine! That being said, if a little bit is ingested, it’s usually not that big of a deal, health-wise.

Im making my rabbits cardboard hidey houses. My boxes have some ink printed on them and I’m wondering if it’s okay to use them if I peel the top layer off that has the ink on it. Here’s what it looks like after it’s peeled off. I wanna know if that gets rid of the ink completely or if the box is tainted! Thanks lol.
