Congrats and welcome home Lucy! Don’t panic if you see a lot of marking when you first bring her home. Having an un-altered bunny in the house tends to make everyone throw their box habits out the window!

As for spaying, the most important things are to have pain meds sent home, as well as supplies for syringe feeding in case she doesn’t want to…[Read more]

Most people switch anywhere between 6 months and a year. If he’s a small breed bunny you would be fine to switch at 6 months, you would just want to still give a bit more pellets than you would to an adult, and do the transition slowly to avoid tummy upsets.

Hi everyone! Hope you’re all doing well and staying safe. 😀

I wanted to share my exciting news with others who are familiar with the feelings, I am adopting a new rabbit tomorrow! She is a lionhead, around ~1 year old. Her current name is Nala, but when she joins us we plan to call her Lucy! I found her on a local humane societies site, listed…[Read more]

Hi everyone, this is my first time using this website so I’m not sure if I’m doing it correctly so please be patient with me lol. I’ve had my male rabbit Nemo (mini rex)  for about 3 months, I’d guess hes about 6 months old. He’s definitely super roudy, probably because hes young. Anyway, he was neutered about a month ago and I’ve read it can…[Read more]

Hi there, sorry you are dealing with this, abscesses are so stressful. I had a bun with a jaw abscess a few years ago.

The best course of action is to treat it aggressively, so that usually means surgically cleaning out the abscess and giving antibiotic injections (usually penicillin) for several weeks.  Rabbit abscesses are full of a very thick…[Read more]

    Hi all,

I have a gorgeous mini lop who is 7 years old. He has always been a very active, healthy, and happy bunny.

In October last year, he developed some eye weeping, in which the vets prescribed him with Genoptic eye drops. In December, he returned to the vets for further treatment as the drops were not helping at all.

    Following further…[Read more]

I have a rescued lionhead bunny, that is around 2-3 years old. The other day, his left ear fell down completely, and hasn’t come back up since! I did some research, and I am pretty sure that he is a half lop, because his ears have always been “bouncy”, and when he is super relaxed, he looks like a lop with both of his ears down LOL. But I just…[Read more]

Thanks for filling out the template!

So, I think my first move would be to do some cage swaps, or at least litter box swaps, and see how that goes. In my experience the mixing of scents is really what helps, and they don’t fully get that when they just live side by side (even though the settling in is great too).  I’ve noticed that sometimes…[Read more]
