Awww, what a beautiful boy! He seems quite tame and relaxed in these pics, I’m a bit surprised he’s so calm after being in such a horrible place.

Thanks for the replies!
Bathroom is usually open and is accessible from the living room, so it’s almost an extension of the bigger area. Is it still good? I’m thinking to just put them both on the balcony. I have a big balcony and a big pen, so I can make that happen. But – Dorian usually really wants to go out and I let him play there…[Read more]

oh yeah about the oxbow urinary support supplement – i read about those! i was thinking of giving them a try. Just wasn’t sure if it’s something that’ll truly be useful for her. I sure hope so.
And Dana – I’m sorry, I only read your reply thoroughly. About the setup – yes I just have a single pee pad beneath the grate. I can’t say about her…[Read more]

Hey guys, thanks for the response. I’ve really been struggling with this today. The only thing I’d changed about her diet recently, is I’d been giving her more treats 🙁 I was giving her those Oxbow simple rewards treats shaped like little hearts. I was giving 2-3 a day because i am a total pushover 🙁 🙁 It’s made me realize I should not be…[Read more]

So I talked with my mom about these ideas and she is against trying any of them so I don’t really know what else to do. I’m still thinking about giving a bitter tasting, rabbit safe spray though and see if it works.

I did find something on Amazon that looked interesting. It was a bowl that had a jug attached to it, however the bowl is extremely tiny. Like 2 inches long and 2 inches wide I can’t imagine he’d fit his dewlap in there. I did think about a bottle to Just worried about training him to use it. I’d hope he could figure it out but the last thing I wan…[Read more]

Wick & Fable replied to the topic How long for your buns to recover from molar spur trim? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 5 months ago
It varies from rabbit to rabbit, in addition to whether something occurred during the operation (example: sometimes the vet accidentally burrs the gum/cheek, leading to pain and longer time needed to recover). That being said I would give a call to the vet if it has been a couple days and she’s not eating well. My rabbit has been through over a…[Read more]

DanaNM replied to the topic At my wit's end – Incontinence in the forum DIET & CARE 5 years, 5 months ago
EC is short for Encephalitozoon cuniculi, it’s a protozoan parasite that is shed in the urine. It seems like it is often only detected in rabbits when it causes neurological symptoms, but many rabbits carry it and are asymptomatic. Incontinence is a symptom.
Here are a few articles on it (that you might share with your vet as…[Read more]

Can you do anything in your bathroom? It was definitely inconvenient, but I didn’t make any head-way with getting Wick and Fable to get along until I made everything happen in the bathroom.

DanaNM replied to the topic Bonded rabbits switching dominance. in the forum BONDING 5 years, 5 months ago
As long as it didn’t lead to a fight, then it’s normal and nothing to worry about. It can be hard to tell which bun is really dominant in a bonded pair, and sometimes you will see swaps with mounting.
