Ok, he always has access to hay in his litter boxes and a few baskets around my room. I will put extra hay out anyways and give him a few cucumber slices around salad time, just so he is still on his schedule :). Thank you so much!

As long as he has plenty of hay (and eats it well), don’t worry. It’s ok if a bun skips greens once in a while, and sometimes it can even be good for them, as it boosts their hay consumption.

You can still give him a few slices of cucumber if you’d like, but don’t try to compensate for the missing lettuce with cucumbers.

You’re welcome! Your normal vet will also have a better sense of your bun’s history and the progression of issues, so hopefully that gives a more balanced perspective!

Dorian actually loves sleeping on plush pillows, there is some pee to be honest though 😀 (it’s rare though and never more than a small drop so easy to deal with).

That said he does ignore most toys I give him. He has like 3 he likes and the rest he just chins and then ignores.

I can’t really tell from the photo, but I think it would be good to have the vet take a look.

I’ve tried so many times to give my buns nice places to sleep! They usually either pee on them, chew them, or push them to the side to sleep on the hard floor underneath!

Awww, we commiserate, we really do. Bunnies never seem to use the things we buy for them, but the skirting boards are the most interesting thing in the world! 😆

That’s really tough. I’m sorry the new vet told you that…how awful. I think some vets are just not comfortable with rabbit dentals so they don’t really know what to say. I am sure you will get a better idea of options from your regular vet tomorrow who has a better idea of her history.

This is world children’s day. Must be a holiday for all children. Official holidays in Turkey. Everywhere is a holiday. Houses are decorated for the holidays😊😊

Just a update. The doctor said there was a bit of tissue mixed with pus when they stuck a needle in so they will have him on PenG procaine for the nect couple days. Nect tuesday we will head back and see if the abscess is all pus or if there is still tissue mixed in. If there is only pus then they will cut it open to get rid of the pus and…[Read more]

When I lived in Korea, they celebrated children’s day too. School would let our early and I got a lot of chocolate from teachers and friends.
