A lot of people will forgo a cage entirely and use an x-pen instead.  Most cages are too small, and are very expensive. Most x-pens (sold as puppy play pens often) will have a door built in so you can easily go in and out, or you can just clip the ends together and unclip when you need to go in.

Smushy is currently on Metacam & Cisapride from the vet, and I have been administering gas drops as well.

The cream for his feet is sulfadiazine.

Bonding can definitely be anxiety producing, and one or both rabbits being aggressive is pretty much the primary reason why it can be an arduous task for many owners– you are not alone, and it’s not necessarily impossible, especially if they were bonded before.
