    Hello!

If it gives you some encouragement, we have a bonded male pair. 🙂 A Holland lop and a Dwarf Lion Head, Rocky and Napoleon, respectively.

We adopted them from the same shelter a couple years ago. They had been housed in the same cage at the shelter, but they weren’t a bonded pair. They hadn’t even come from the same home, I don’t think, but the shelter had just taken in 50+ rabbits, almost 20 rats, and numerous other critters from a local hoarding situation and it was more of a space issue, I think (the shelter is primarily a dog and cat one). Anyways! We adopted them both and they rode home in the same carrier and they snuggled the whole way home.

Napoleon had just gotten neutered at the shelter and Rocky had been neutered on arrival, so there was a little aggression between them while Nap “aired out”. But they seemed to do pretty well through the bonding process. The only major issue was that Rocky got really bitey when they were in the xpen and the gate was closed, but instantly chilled when it was opened back up. So, they are now free range in their own room and totally inseparable. 🙂

So, don’t give up hope! It sounds like Pi and Dorian are making progress! But, I agree with LBJ, maybe they just need a little encouragement to seal the deal lol. 🙂
