Buns don’t show the same amount of affection as cats or dogs when they love you the same amount. It’s just not in their nature since they’re prey animals. But if your bun jumped on your back and jump up on the couch with you, she’s clearly comfortable with you! How long have you had her? If you’ve had her for less than a few months, then just give it some more time, you’re already off to a great start. If it’s been more than that, I can guarantee your buns don’t hate you, it’s just their individual personalities to not be physically affectionate with their humans. My bun Eve looooves being pet, while Theo, who trusts me just as much as she does, runs away when I try. It’s just a difference in personalities. About the toys thing– my buns won’t play with toys like baby keys either; they reeeeally love edible toys (wicker balls, wicker sticks, hay in a lunchbag, etc). It doesn’t sound like your bun is depressed at all! Sounds like totally typical bun behavior. You’ve given her a friend, toys, and out-of-cage time, plus she trusts you. Sounds like a happy bun to me
. The only thing I’d suggest would be edible toys!
