Ah yes, the digging instinct to get OUT! – I’ve put a big bit of wood underneath the blankets in my temp xpen as Henry was doing the same, so when he digs down he gets to a hard bit of wood (not my carpet !!)

Or you could get carpet tiles (the square bits) – ask a carpet shop if they have any old samples they could give you (you’re not bothered if they all match?! LOL )
