    Hi everybunny!

Sunny had a bad episode of GI stasis 6 days ago, coupled with loss of balance and a slight head tilt. As you can imagine, we panicked, so we rushed her to the vet and after running some tests she was diagnosed with a pasteurella infection. She is currently being treated with antibiotics and metoclopramide.

So after a few days of treatment she is almost completely recovered: she finally eats lots of hay, plays around and her balance and head tilt have improved a lot. But she drinks little to no water. The first days we figured it was because of the stasis or the pain, but now that she’s feeling fine we don’t know why she refuses to drink water.

We’ve been feeding her lots of fresh greens during the day and giving her some water with a syringe in fear of dehydration, but at night she just takes a couple of ships of water from the bowl.

We’re worried that she’s not getting enough water because we can’t feed her veggies in great cuantities and she doesn’t drink much on her own.

Have you had similar experiences with your bunnies? Did they eventually started drinking water as usual?

We have another appointment with the vet tomorrow and will discuss this, but I also wanted to read your tips and opinions.

    Thanks! ☺️
