Well, he made it through the neuter. He is ok.  He was NOT happy or calm for his exam. He basically flipped out when they tried to pick him up. He almost went off the table twice. His little eyes were bugged out of his head. He was breathing so fast. He didn't bite or growl or anything. He was completely terrified. I am so glad he is home and safe.

He came to the door of his carrier and kissed me through the door when they brought him out to go home.

His eyes were groggy looking. I rubbed him with my pinky through the tiny holes in his carrier on the drive home. I know he appreciated it because he pressed the side of his face against the wall when I took my hand away. So, I went right back to rubs. It was actually really sad. He is moving a little in the cage. I put him in the smaller cage instead of his NIC so he would take it easy. Lila is in the NIC of course.

I have a lot to do tomorrow and probably won't be here posting. I am just really thankful he made it through ok. It's the times when there is a concern for the furbaby when you realize how attached you are. I knew I loved him. But know I really know how much I need him.

Glad to hear Ollie is home safe and sound!

Your Ollie's attitude at the vet sounds exactly like Olivia at the vet. She seriously shakes and hyperventilates. She gets so scared, I feel terrible. She's especially terrified of the car ride. She's due for a neuter next month

Aw, so glad Ollie is home.

From the lightning in the sky

oh Ollie! feel better baby boy!

i know what you mean about realizing how attached you are... surgery is scary, even when you are confident in the vet's ability. i don't want to go thru a neuter or spay again if i don't have to. esp. not when there are so many waiting for forever homes already...

speaking of which... remember to keep Ollie and Lila separate for about 4 more weeks so he can heal thoroughly and she will not risk pregnancy.
