How long can a rabbit remember you? I am going out of the country for 1 and a half months. (Basicly 2 months) And i am worried that Cookie might forget who his mommy is. I went to Florida for 5 days without him. And i was freaking out calling to see how he is doing like every second.(not really). But 2 months! I am heart broken. I know. . . . over protective. . . (sigh) What am i going to do with my self?!?!

        HELP ME!!!

This is a sad question. I went away for two weeks and Sophie definitely knew who her mommy was when I came home. My petsitter was Sophie’s “godmother”, my best friend who came over to my house once or twice a day to play with her and see her. On a day when she had a full day off, she came over to my house to watch movies, read, etc. so Sophie had interaction and could run around the house with someone she knew. BUT, she stopped eating for a day or two and became a little depressed and not as active. Godmother extraordainaire said you could tell Sophie was a little sad. I was glad she was in our house though, and had everything familiar around her. When I got home, she heard my voice and went crazy in her cage. I let her out and she jumped into my lap while I was sitting on the floor and licked my arm. Your baby will know who their mommy is, I think.

My husband and I got married two years ago. At that time we had both Carrera and Pookie. We ended up being gone for a total of 2 weeks because we got married out of state and then our honeymoon. So what we ended up doing was have a neighbor come and take care of them the first week and then when my inlaws got back from our wedding they brought them home to their house for the next week. They have been to grandmas house a lot so they are familiar with their home.

Both rabbits were happy to see us but at the same time they did let us know they werent happy with us!
