I can't tell you how many times I have typed a lengthy response, hit submit only to have it not show up because at the same time someone else has responded and submitted at the same time.  It happend again this morning at 10:35 est when I was replying to How can I tell if my bunny is playing with his toys.  I don't know if there is anything you can do about that, but it really is very frustrating.  Especially when I have limited time in the mornings to join in and my computer is old and cranky.  (like me!)

I have that happen on a lot of websites, Bunzai, it's certainly frustrating. One really good way to get around it is to open notepad, word, or any other text program you have and type long messages into that, then copy and paste into here. It may be an extra step but well worth not losing something you've really worked hard on.

or you could just copy it and check it has been posted, you dont need to transfer it just copy it

Thanks guys, I have done the copy and paste thing on occasion, not as a rule. I have never had that problem anywhere else that I can recall. Was not having a good computer morning for many reasons and that was the last straw. In fact I submitted this post and did not see it on the site. At that point it was time to walk away. I was shocked to see it now.

Any way, my computer geek brother and his geek friend will be overhauling this wreck and I will unclench my wallet and get cable internet.

Yeah, it may be your not seeing the up to date pages straight away. Sometimes on the forum list the last person to post on a subject is not always accurate, and you check a 2 minutes later and it has updated. It's like the onlline list. Sometimes your name is on there long after you've logged off too. I'd type the text then copy it each time too- just in case. Then if your post didn't work you only need to click reply then paste.

That was happening to me quite a bit before the last overhaul BB did to the board. It just started again recently.

I do the copy/paste thing. I often have to keep my email prog open with a blank note to paste to...as once in awhile I will lose the whole setup: window, browser, clipboard, when the board decides to give me starch while I'm posting.
Mimzy, Pip & Fiver...yup...my day is all about them. :)

Glad it was not just me. Poop happens and most days I just let it go and walk away, but boy was I close to chucking it all out the window.
