“Spike” needs a home and a vet checkup…
He has been unofficially diagnosed with a condition called “head-tilt” which only gets worse and can be fatal. He is less than a year old and very active. Since I have been faustering him his head has straightened a lot and he seems really confident. He barely hops away when reached for and loves to be pet… and loves to eat.
        No adoption fee…
Includes any food left, cage and contents.

I contacted this woman with the ad and gave her contact information to Bunnylu.org and to Friends of Rabbits thinking maybe they could help out. I saw that you were in Northern Va. then realized her ad was out of Laurel, Maryland. I am not sure about the geography up there. Are these rescues near to Laurel? I would get that boy in a quick second if I could.

          Carla.

My email came back as mailer daemon-undeliverable to her craigslist.org post. Does this mean she has taken the ad off of craigslist? Carla.

Yeah her ad was probably removed. You could post on Craigslist asking her to email you maybe? There is a bunny rescue in MD somewere called Bunny Magic. Not sure exactly where though….I wish I could get him, but with the parents anti-bunny and me having to get my ferret a surgery I just can’t…..poor little boy.

He has adrenal gland disease. Nobody knows exactly what causes it, but ferrets usually come from ferret mills who neuter/spay them when they are 7 weeks old, so that is one of the theories. So it’s like a tumor on one of his glands that makes him loose all his fur and causes aggression. I still have to take him to a ferret knowledgable vet to make sure we can do surgery. If not he will need monthly shots to stay healthy or if he is too far along in the disease, put down. It’s really nasty. His old owners said it was from him rubbing the fur off on his hammock. What ever!!
