Is anyone else having trouble with the email notification function on the threads? I have several subscribed to, but I'm not receiving email messages when the threads are updated.

Just curious. Nothing earth shaking,  but I thought I'd give a heads up.

when you say you don't receive emails when the a post is updated within the post, or when someone new posts to the thread?

IF it's about when someone goes into update/edit the same post within the thread, then unfortunately you won't get an email regarding that.

IF you mean then when someone adds a brand new post then that's another story. You should receive an email with that.

Ah yes, I meant when someone posts something new. (I was thinking I hadn't worded that right after I left the forum last night.) >.<

okay, hmmm. I will need to talk to the geekman about this. When did you first notice that you were no longer receiving the email notifs.

Let's see...at least since the last downtime...which I wasn't online to experience since we had company then...so about a week or so?
Could I have turned the function off manually by mistake?

Okay, so I doubled checked. You do have it turned on, so nothing wrong there. The only thing I can think of is that now that it's being delivered from a different host, (though it will say the same name) it could be going into your spam or bulk folder. Check there.

I'm using Outlook Express for Windows XP...I don't think I have a spam folder. Actually, I'm sure of it, because I get a TON of spam...every day. >.<
I may have to go directly to my ISP and check there perhaps?

well, if you are getting email from true spam, then why it would make a difference with us I don't know, but the only thing that has changed is our host provider and other people are getting theirs, (I'm getting mine too) so maybe it is on your end of what is getting through.

You could also try unsubscribing to posts and resubscribing first to make sure it's not some strange cache glitch.
