Maybe it's the quality of the paper? Phone book paper really is different from note paper. Sable loves paper too and especially the paper I have printed knitting patterns on. Most of my patterns and pattern books now have little nibble marks on them. Like Felony, he's not so interested in phone books though newspaper is fine with him.
I have given him a crumpled sheet of blank paper or a printout that I no longer need to give him something to occupy his time while I try to work. Cardboard is also acceptable to him in place of book covers. I had to move all of my books from the lowest shelf on my book case in the living room.
Bunnies .... you gotta love 'em!
